Meteorologists Welcome Newest Cloud Type

Cumulus, nimbus, stratus, cirrus…asperatus? First “discovered” in 2009, scientists have finally named this dramatic and rare cloud occurence as Undulatus Asperatus.

So beautiful.

That’s amazing.

It’s like gauze.

Love can never grow old. Locks may lose their brown and gold. Cheeks may fade and hollow grow. But the hearts that love will know, never winter’s frost and chill, summer’s warmth is in them still.

-Leo Buscaglia

Vivian Maier, Self Portrait, October 18, 1953
Once, a friend asked me what happened to all the pictures I take that don’t make it on my blog or are posted online somewhere.  I was a little embarrassed to admit that they just sit there on my hard drive.  I was being called out: I selfishly hoard all these files instead of sharing them for the world to see, critique, hopefully admire.
I joke around a little that I’ll be the next Vivian Maier.  I will pass away with hundreds and thousands of “unprocessed” digital files for someone else to discover, publish and maybe make a little money off of.  Is that being selfish?  ; )
I will try to get around to posting more.  And if you haven’t noticed, I’ve moved my official blog over to my self-hosted domain:  http://veracruzvisions.com/blog.
I’ll be using my tum-photo-blog hopefully more for digital tear sheets of inspiration—really what tumblr is all about.
